Now and Now is a sound installation, essentially an eternal “melody” with no start and end, generated by an algorithm in real time. The algorithm creates a sound world emphasizing on certain orders. The sound events are mainly short and sparse and are structured in a way to establish new relationships between themselves. This allows for ever changing and yet consistent phrases. All the sounds are projected through the instrument (Santur) by resonating its body. Now and Now is part of the Broken Ensemble project in which a collection of broken instruments are used to generate the sound material as well as to project the music.
